摘要: Electrospray ionization (ESI) is often affected by corona discharge when spraying 100% aqueous solutions as the voltage that induces can be well below onset of ESI. As a result, it especially challenging to perform native mass spectrometry in negative ion mode where solution preferred. Here we report simple instrumentation method improve performance ESI based on capillary vibrating sharp-edge spray ionization. By attaching fused silica emitter glass slide, improved signal quality achieved for various analytes over applying alone. Compared commercial sources using nebulization gas reduce discharge, 10-100-fold enhancement intensity and 3-10-fold improvement S/N are kinds molecules including DNA, peptides, proteins, oligosaccharides. Finally, new demonstrates utility analysis proteins G-quadruplex DNA. The present expected have great potential adopted scientific community because its analytical performance, simplicity, low cost.
