摘要: Achyranthes aspera (Amaranthaceae) is known for many medicinal uses such as purgative, diuretic, used in dropsy, piles, boils, skin eruption and treating snake bite. Seeds of the plant are by ethnic group Western Ghats jaundice. The objective present study was to evaluate ethanolic extract from seeds its hepatoprotective potential carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) induced liver damage model rats. Present investigation revealed that animal treated with CCl4 recorded significant rise serum markers reflecting hepatic pretreatment rats A.
