摘要: Laboratory based studies on the fate of organic contaminants in soil typically requires test compound(s) to be spiked into medium. Consequently, such are inherently dependant homogeneity contaminant within soil. Three blending methods were compared for addition a phenanthrene-transformer oil mixture field-wet Spiking homogeneity, reproducibility and artefacts assessed dichloromethane hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin chemical extractability, bacterial mineralization. using stainless-steel spoon, consistently produced good spike as determined by sample oxidation, extraction mineralization, was more reliable than either Waring blender or modified bench drill. Overall, neither transformer oil-concentration nor method influenced extractability mineralization PAH following 1 day equilibration. In general, spiking procedures require validation prior use, cannot assured.
