摘要: Increasing evidence has shown that oxidative stress may be implicated in chronic stress-induced depression. Several flavonoids with anti-oxidative effects have been proved to anti-depressive. Myricetin is a well-defined flavonoid the anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and neuroprotective properties. The aim of present study investigate possible administration myricetin on depressant-like behaviors mice subjected repeated restraint (4 h/day) for 21 days. Our results showed specifically reduced immobility time exposed stress, as tested both forced swimming test tail suspension test. treatment improved activities glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) hippocampus stressed mice. In addition, decreased plasma corticosterone levels those stress. brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) were also investigated. revealed normalized BDNF These findings provided more improves helpless behaviors. protective might partially mediated by an influence attributed myricetin-mediated hippocampus.
