摘要: In this thesis, we studied a fringe visibility enhanced extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer (EFPI) by fusion splicing quarter-pitch graded-index fiber (GIF) to the lead-in single-mode (SMF). The performance of GIF collimator is theoretically analyzed using ray matrix model and experimentally verified through beam divergence angle measurements. GIF-collimated EFPI measured as function cavity length compared with that regular SMFEFPI. At 500μm, GIF-EFPI 0.8 while SMF-EFPI only 0.2. provides better signal-to-noise (SNR) for applications where large dynamic range desired.
