Alcohol vapour sensing of nanocrystalline antimony doped zinc oxide

摘要: Nanocrystalline undoped and Sb2O3 doped (0.1 to 0.5 wt%) ZnO powders were synthesized by solution-combustion method using glucose, sucrose nitrate salts as precursors. The particles structurally characterized X-ray diffractometer transmission electron microscope. average size of the powder was found be 40 nm. Interestingly, sensors made from antimony showed better alcohol sensing (5-50 ppm) properties long-term stability than those for powder. It that 0.25 wt% exhibited optimum behavior excellent response recovery times.
