摘要: This chapter develops a methodology to aid remedial project managers and senior management at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in handling cleanup strategies determining future reuse options Superfund sites. The goal is achieved through completion of four objectives: 1) avoiding back engineering decisions that limit options; 2) understanding all contingencies process; 3) accounting for costs benefits from stakeholders including generations creation an index reusability; 4) maximizing opportunity learning. Development method stems concepts risk policy previously applied diverse disciplines. First, contingency trees are developed describe potential deviations process cause increased costs, time reuse, or decreased use site. Second, reusability influence diagram identify impacts on various actions outcomes process. Third, order compare herd portfolios sites along different strategies. unique any existing study idea binds multiple methods. can lead initiative by move regional broader national approach. Furthermore, has general importance not limited but applicable environmentally impaired land.
