摘要: The joint source-channel coding (JSCC) problem for soft-decision-demodulated time-correlated fading channels is investigated without the use of channel and interleaving. For purpose system design, recently introduced nonbinary noise discrete with queue-based (QB) (NBNDC-QB) adopted. This analytically tractable Markovian model has been shown to represent effectively correlated that are hard handle analytically. Optimal sequence maximum a posteriori (MAP) detection Markov source sent over NBNDC-QB first studied. When binary symmetric, necessary sufficient condition under which MAP decoder reduced simple instantaneous symbol-by-symbol established. Two robust lossy schemes low encoding delay next proposed NBNDC-QB. scheme consists scalar quantizer (SQ), proper index assignment, designed harness redundancy left in indexes soft-decision output correlation channel. second classical noise-resilient vector known as channel-optimized (COVQ). It demonstrated both systems can successfully exploit memory information Signal-to-distortion-ratio (SDR) gains more than 1.7 dB obtained hard-decision demodulation by using only two bits soft decision. Furthermore, high 4.4 be achieved strongly channel, comparison ideally interleaved (memoryless) Finally, it numerically observed that, rates, accurately approximate (DFCs) terms SDR performance.
