摘要: Agriculture in the hills and mountains of Nepal includes few high-yielding crop varieties, chemical fertilizers pesticides, effective water control, integration into major commodity markets which characterize agriculture most areas world. Indigenous maintains a subsistence orientation large proportion population is engaged agricultural work almost all production for local use. Rapid growth induces intensification diminishing return on labour traded increased production. These processes have also affected cropping choices land-use strategies, resulting environmental social changes. Although specific changes taking place rural are unique conditioned by culture history, underlying logic its effect village communities may be similar Himalayan Andes.
