摘要: The advent of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and treatment as prevention (TasP) means HIV raises issues justice concerning how most fairly equitably to apportion resources in support the burgeoning variety established measures further research, including vaccine research. We apply contemporary approaches social assess ethical justification for allocating research given competing priorities broad implementation measures, TasP PrEP. argue that there is prima facie reason believe a safe effective preventive would offer distinct set ethically significant benefits not provided by current or methods. It thereby possible justify continued despite tension with treatment, prevention, other then consider counter-argument such based on uncertainty successfully developing vaccine. Finally, we discuss might now be designed conducted new options PrEP, focusing appropriate standard trials.
