摘要: The global total water resources available for consumption are only 0.7%. In addition to that, climate change is worsening the situation. such condition availability livestock reducing. Water an essential component several vital functions of body as regulation temperature, growth, reproduction, reaction and digestion. Drinking scarcity common during summer in tropical environment. Although native sheep breeds arid semi-arid regions well adapted shortage heat stress, still insufficiency months affect their physiology compromise productive performance. region endeavour with some anatomical, physiological behavioural modifications reduce demand body. Livestock loses through urine, faeces, respiratory evaporation sweating. Most mammals die when more than 15% lost from requirements met drinking water, feed metabolic water. intake depends on stuff, environmental individual animal its stages, quality. decreased reduces weight intake, increase blood osmolality due haemoconcentration. endocrine levels especially stress hormone also altered sheep. reduced affects reproductive events ultimately production performance compromised.
