Villous basement membrane thickening and fibrinoid necrosis in normal and abnormal placentas

摘要: Abstract The association between two placental lesions—fibrinoid necrosis of villi and trophoblastic basement membrane thickening—is described. lesions are often found together in normal placentas. There is a higher incidence both pre-eclampsia, intrauterine growth retardation, placentas associated with death. evidence that these villous changes may be manifestation an immune reaction examined other possibilities considered.
