摘要: The crustacean hyperglycemic hormone is the most abundant neuropeptide present in eyestalk of Crustacea and its main role to control glucose level hemolymph. Our study was aimed at assessing importance C-terminal amidation for biological activity. Two recombinant peptides were produced, Asl-rcHH-Gly with a free carboxyl terminus Asl-rcHH-amide an amidated C-terminus. Homologous bioassays performed on astacid crayfish Astacus leptodactylus showed that peptide had stronger effect compared non-amidated peptide. To assess relevance also other decapods how much differences cHH amino acid sequence can affect functionality peptides, we carried out heterologous cambarid Procambarus clarkii palaemonid Palaemon elegans. elicited good response P. injection evoked weak both species. These results prove activity as well primary species-specificity hormone-receptor recognition.
