摘要: A recent survey of 54 micro-econometric studies reveals that exporting firms are more productive than non-exporters. However, previous empirical show does not necessarily improve productivity. One possible reason for this result is most restricted to analysing the relationship between a firm’s export status and growth its labour productivity, using firms’ as binary treatment variable comparing performance non-exporting firms. In paper, we apply newly developed generalised propensity score (GPS) methodology allows continuous treatment, is, different levels activities. Using GPS method large panel data set German manufacturing firms, estimate export-sales ratio productivity rate. We find there causal effect activities on growth. improves only within sub-interval range ratios.
