摘要: In the present study, effect of concentration titanium carbide (TiC) particles on structural, mechanical, and electrochemical properties Ni-P composite coatings was investigated. Various amounts TiC (0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 g L-1) were co-electrodeposited in matrix under optimized conditions then characterized by employing various techniques. The structural analysis prepared indicates uniform, compact, nodular structured without any noticeable defects. Vickers microhardness nanoindentation results demonstrate increase hardness with an increasing amount attaining its terminal value (593HV100) at 1.5 g L-1. Further a decrease hardness, which can be ascribed to their accumulation matrix. indicate improvement corrosion protection efficiency reaching ~ 92% 2.0 g L-1, reduction active area presence inactive ceramic particles. favorable characteristics Ni-P-TiC suggest potential applications many industrial applications.
