摘要: PURPOSE. To report the trends of eye injury in United States from 1992 through 2001. METHODS. The National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey, Hospital and Discharge Survey were used to collect information on injuries Rates per 1000 population calculated according age, gender, race. RESULTS. From 2001, overall estimated rate ranged 8.2 13.0 population. During this period incidence significantly declined overall, persons aged 39 years younger, both genders, black white populations (all P <0.05). CONCLUSIONS. 2002, racial groups. Certain segments population, however, continued be at high risk (i.e., males younger) represent those groups toward whom prevention resources should directed.
