摘要: Abstract The capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris) is a selective herbivore that may show preference for certain plant species. Such likely to be explained by the nutritional benefits hypothesis, stating value of species selected capybaras higher than avoided ones. Therefore, objectives this work are evaluate eaten in Lower Delta Parana River, and test hypothesis analyzing forage quality. Samples consumed were collected from habitats located study area. We also very abundant field but absent capybara's diet, some which other native herbivores such as coypus (Myocastor coypus). Their quality was analyzed estimating following variables: water content, ash percentage, percentage organic matter, acid detergent fiber, nitrogen crud...
