摘要: Fiber-reinforced structures comprising a thermoplastic polymer (53) and containing between 30 % 60 by weight of reinforcing filaments arrayed randomly or aligned within the structure have been produced in continuous process high cantilever, tensile flexural strength, stiffness, low creep relative cost. The strength stiffness result from compatibilizing natural fibers (51) matrix wetting coating 1 mm 20 cm length with maleated polypropylene coupling agents (55) and, optionally, small volume phenolic epoxy resins. mixed material is further processed molding (65) under conditions which temperatures are maintained below 230 °C pressure held 28,000 psi.
