摘要: 1. Two methods are given for measuring the rate of diffusion CO2 in tissue membranes. Methods also determination thickness and absorption coefficient tissues. 2. The values obtained permeability constant (P x 104) at 22°C. following tissues are:—frog skin, 3.05; connective (dog), 2.65; smooth muscle (cat), 5.00; frog muscle, 5.29; striated 4.70. P is expressed as cc. per cm.2 minute under a pressure gradient one atmosphere cm. 3. Evidence presented to show that "steady state" bicarbonate contributes negligible amount CO2. 4. skin 0.73 0.78 5. In all studied slower than water. coefficients (K 104 cm.2/minute) compared with water are:—water (16°C.), 9.5 (Hufner, 1897); 4.1; tissue, 3.7; 6.8; 6.0; 6.4. 6. time course saturation altered presence available base. Non-acidified saturate more slowly acidified dependent on tension.
