摘要: Thinning of myocardial segments, mainly at the apex and basal posterior region left ventricle, are frequent lesions in chronic chagasic cardiopathy (CCC), but still without a well determined etiology. Previously we found severe microvascular dilatation that could cause ischemia watershed regions. In this study analyzed whether narrowness epicardial coronary arteries CCC might explain these thinned ventricular lesions. Two groups dilated hearts with similar weights were compared: eleven from patients versus four cardiomyopathy (IDCM). As normal controls studied three non nor- mal weight hearts. There no atherosclerotic plaques main branches cross-sectional luminal areas proximal distal segments histologically measured.
