摘要: The authors evaluated pure tone audiometry with and without specific ear protectors. AIM: purpose of this case control study was to measure the level sound attenuation by earplugs. MATERIAL AND METHODS: evaluation included sixty ears 30 subjects both sexes, aged between 20 58 years, various professional activities, normal hearing thresholds, following ten hours auditory rest. statistical results at 500 4000 Hertz protectors were analyzed. RESULTS: These compared those provided protector manufacturer. CONCLUSION: show that rate reduction similar manufacturer's specifications.
