摘要: Double cleavage drilled compression (DCDC) specimen, on account of its specific fracture parameters and also strong crack path stability, is frequently used in growth studies brittle materials such as ceramics glasses. Various configurations this specimen have been developed studied the past order to determine different loading conditions. In paper, an improved DCDC proposed by means some geometrical modifications applied standard configuration. Finite element analyses indicate that contrary all previous configurations, new version has distinct potential provide entire span practical condition from pure mode I II.
