摘要: Utility of urinalysis as a method for estimating dietary salt and protein intakes was examined in volunteers from farming fishing villages Japan the data compared to findings survey on diets. We found that partial urine samples even fasting single spot a.m. could serve valid substitutes 24-hour (hr) collections. Further, significant correlations were obtained between levels diet estimated by interviews urinary sodium (Na) interview-estimated total or animal inorganic sulfate (SO4). In comparative studies villages, almost same findings, higher village village, These clearly indicate urinalysis, intake population surveys, has distinct advantages.
