摘要: Lacticin 3147 is a two-peptide broad spectrum lantibiotic produced by Lactococcus lactis DPC3147 shown to inhibit number of clinically relevant Gram-positive pathogens. Initially isolated from an Irish kefir grain, lacticin one the most extensively studied lantibiotics date. In this study, bacterial diversity grain which L. was originally for first time investigated using high-throughput parallel sequencing strategy. A total 17 416 unique V4 variable regions 16S rRNA gene were analysed both starter and its derivative kefir-fermented milk. Firmicutes (which includes lactic acid bacteria) dominant phylum accounting > 92% sequences. Within Firmicutes, dramatic differences in abundance observed when milk fermentate compared. The grain-associated community largely composed Lactobacillaceae family while Streptococcaceae (primarily spp.) within fermentate. Sequencing data confirmed previous findings that microbiota are quite different at same time, establishing microbial not uniform with greater level associated interior compared exterior.
