Synthesis of porous magnetite Fe 3 O 4 and its application in thermal control coatings as new black pigment

摘要: In the present work, firstly, porous magnetite Fe3O4 was synthesized using mesoporous silica molecular sieve (SBA-15) as a template. Finally, infiltrated ferrous precursor into mesopores subjected to an infiltration process, in order obtain Fe3O4. The structural, morphological, and porosity characteristics optical property of as-synthesized material were investigated by X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscopy, N2 adsorption, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Evaluation obtained results indicated that has well-defined morphology higher light absorption the UV/Vis region than not only common other inorganic black pigments, but also carbon black. Investigation prepared coating with this pigment (0.98) lower (~2%) than commercial thermal control coatings (TCC) pigments. This presents best selection for TCC stable space environment. as-prepared high surface area (~24.78 m2/g) excellent magnetic properties (M s = 70 emu/g) at room temperature.
