摘要: Estrogen is an essential regulator of the bone tissue. The remodeling alveolar and periodontal ligament basis orthodontic tooth movement (OTM). There a negative coregulation between physiological estrogen levels rate OTM. As possible inhibitory factor OTM, suppresses resorption by inhibiting osteoclastic differentiation restraining osteoclast lifespan though multiple pathways cytokines, leading to suppression initiation step remodeling. On other hand, stimulates osteoblastic function. receptor-α (ERα) involves in osteogenic responses mechanical stimulation, ERα expression regulated positively circulatory estrogen. Orthodontically induced root (OIRR) common side-effect treatment. may have some effects on OIRR, but more studies are needed get effective conclusion.
