摘要: Quaternization reaction of poly(vinylbenzyl chloride) with hexamine was monitored using NMR at different time intervals and temperatures in this study. The amine to polymer ratios 0.2:1, 0.33:1, 1:1 were employed, the progress instantly after addition reactants. recorded every 10 min until for about an hour. Temperature also varied from 30 60 °C, by NMR. quaternization complete immediately reactants whereas low temperatures, proceeded much lower rates. Even a faster rate when content higher. (HMA)-to-poly(vinylbenzyl (PVBC) follows order > 0.33:1 0.2:1.
