摘要: Objective: To study the difference in risk for dementing diseases between men and women. Background: Previous studies suggest women have a higher dementia than men. However, these include small sample sizes, particularly older age groups, when incidence of is highest. Methods: Pooled analysis four population-based prospective cohort was performed. The included persons 65 years older, 528 incident cases dementia, 28,768 person-years follow-up. Incident were identified two-stage procedure which total screened cognitive impairment, screen positives underwent detailed diagnostic assessment. Dementia main subtypes AD vascular diagnosed according to internationally accepted guidelines. Sex- age-specific rates, relative cumulative risks AD, calculated using log linear Poisson regression. Results: There significant gender differences after 85 years. At 90 age, rate 81.7 (95% CI, 63.8 104.7) 24.0 10.3 55.6) no rates or dementia. 65-year-old develop at 95 0.22 compared with 0.09 developing similar (0.04). Conclusion: Compared men, an increased AD. are
