摘要: Plant lignans are diphenolic compounds ingested with whole grains and seeds converted to enterolignans by the colonic microbiota. In present study, we investigated absorption metabolism of plant in vivo after consumption cereal-based diets. Six pigs fitted catheters mesenteric artery portal vein a flow probe attached along twenty for quantitative collection urine were used this study. The animals fed bread based on wheat flour low three lignan-rich breads whole-wheat grain, aleurone or rye flour. plasma monitored daily at fast 0-3 d intake, 4th day intake 10-h profile was completed. Urine samples collected 11 diet consumption. concentrations fast, 1·2-2·6 nmol/l switching from low-lignan However, day, concentration increased significantly 33 nmol/h 310 0-2·5 h ingestion gradual increase following periods. Quantitatively, across diets amounted 7 % lignans, whereas urinary excretion 3 conclusion, there is substantial postprandial uptake cereals, suggesting that absorbed small intestine.
