Modulation of Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance of Nanostructured Gold Crystals by Tuning Their Tip Curvature with Assistance of Iodide and Silver(I) Ions

摘要: In this article, we describe a series of experiments that systematically addressed and clarified the effects iodide, silver ions, ascorbic acid (AA) concentration on morphology gold nanorods (Au NRs) during overgrowth process. When iodide or both were present in growth solution, Au nanocrystals ranging from thick NRs, cuboidal shaped dogbone-like to dumbbell respectively, was obtained. The appearance third peak UV−vis spectra indicates formation lobes tips NRs. addition, when different seeds (such as NRs short aspect ratio spherical nanocrystals) whose {111} facets covered by ions used, horns length formed.
