摘要: Objectives: To investigate the risk of birth defects in offspring female veterinarians exposed to occupational hazards such as radiation, anesthetic gases, and pesticides veterinary practice. Methods: The Health Risks Australian Veterinarians project was conducted a questionnaire-based survey all graduates from schools during 40-year period 1960–2000. Results: In multiple logistic regression controlling for potential confounders, study showed an increased after exposure high dose radiation (taking more than 10 x-ray films per week, odds ratio: 5.73 95% CI: 1.27 25.80) increase at least once week (odds 2.39 0.99 5.77) exclusively working small animal practice. Conclusion: Female should be informed possible reproductive effects exposures pesticides.
