摘要: Abstract This study explores the use of carbon fiber (CF) prepreg trim waste to manufacture lightweight, high performance and low cost CF composites using sheet molding compound (SMC) technology. First, modifications a typical SMC flow determine charge in size mass sheets are determined. Then, effect age tapes, aspect ratio cut chips pressure during compression on tensile impact properties is determined these compares with those composites. It concluded that (i) standard production line needs be modified order successfully convert tapes into (ii) produced can meet stiffness acceptable strength for not strength-critical applications without need store controlled conditions.
