摘要: AIMS AND BACKGROUND Melanoma of the external ear is a rare disease, and its management controversial. To address this problem, we reviewed data concerning patients observed at our Institution. METHODS We retrospectively clinical records 20 bearing primary melanoma over period about years Istituto Nazionale Tumori Milan. RESULTS Initial evaluation revealed 7 stage I, 12 II 1 III. The thickness tumors varied from 0.39 to 6.62 mm. Fourteen underwent wedge resection skin cartilage with closure, 6 had partial amputation ear. In 8 cases section was performed cm border tumor, in 0.5 cm, more than cm. average follow-up 57 months (range, 1-18 years). Since there no local recurrence, it could not be related type extent performed. contrast, development metastases tumor thickness. CONCLUSIONS A conservative excision margins can safe procedure for invasive melanoma, irrespective Like melanomas other sites, prognosis linked tumor.
