Importance of Surface Morphology in Interstellar H2 Formation

摘要: Detailed laboratory experiments on the formation of HD from atom recombination amorphous solid water films show that this process is extremely efficient in a temperature range 8 to 20 kelvin, temperatures relevant for H2 dust grain surfaces interstellar medium (ISM). The fate 4.5 electron volt energy highly dependent film morphology. These results suggest morphology, rather than detailed chemical nature surface, most important determining content as it released into ISM.
