Glass/Brass-270 Wire-Mesh Nanosilica Toughened Epoxy Composite: Mechanical, Impact and Fatigue Behaviour

摘要: High toughness epoxy resin hybrid composites were prepared using nanosilica, glass fibre and brass wire-mesh. The main aim of this research was to study the effect adding nanosilica particle along with wire-mesh in load-bearing properties composite. in-plane fibre, surface-treated 3-Aminopropyletrimethoxysilane. hand lay-up method. tensile result shows that addition 1 vol.% glass-brass wire mesh reinforced composite gives improved results than other composites. fracture revealed highest 36.5 MPa $$ \sqrt{\mathbf{m}} $$ high penetration resistance energy absorption for contains 1.0 vol.% glass/brass. fatigue behaviour a higher life count 43,662. In all properties, modifies values significantly. This impact toughened could be used automotive, defence, sports components, domestic appliances structural body applications.
