Growth and yield of oleic sunflower ( Helianthus annuus L.) under drip irrigation in very strongly saline soils

摘要: A four-year trial was set up to test the feasibility of growing oleic sunflower in a very strongly saline wasteland with drip irrigation Ningxia plain Northwest China. The soil salinity expressed as electrical conductivity saturation paste extract (EC e ) around 28 dS/m, and nutrient deficient upper 120 cm depth. experiment included five matric potential (SMP) treatments, SMP at 20-cm depth immediately under emitters maintained be higher than −5, −10, −15, −20 −25 kPa after establishment. Drip consistently created favourable moisture low-salinity region root zone when −25 kPa. dry seed yield decreased by 3.8 % for each unit increase seasonal average zone. Plant vegetative growth, characteristics, frequency amount all increased from −25 −5 kPa, highest water use efficiency available between −10 −15 kPa (the applied 750 mm). Leaching salts gradually turned into moderately soil. This research suggests that can successfully used cultivation this highly threshold is suggested scheduling.
