摘要: Transcripts from noncoding repetitive elements (REs) in the genome may be involved aging. However, they are often ignored transcriptome studies on healthspan and lifespan, their role healthy aging interventions has not been characterized. Here, we analyze REs RNA-seq datasets mice subjected to robust healthspan- lifespan-increasing including calorie restriction, rapamycin, acarbose, 17-α-estradiol, Protandim. We also examine RE transcripts long-lived transgenic mice, a high-fat diet, use investigate influence of aerobic exercise with humans. find that (a) interventions/behaviors globally reduce transcripts, whereas diet (an age-accelerating treatment) increase expression; (b) reduced expression is associated biological/physiological processes mechanistically linked Our results suggest transcript dysregulation suppression likely novel mechanisms underlying interventions, respectively.
