摘要: Two Mediterranean species ofDendrodoris nudibranchs have elaborated a very sophisticated defensive strategy against predators, involving the denovo biosynthesis of series drimane sesquiterpenoids, some which are strongly ichthyodeterrent. Anatomical distribution terpenoids in different sections and egg masses mollusc is reported, together with further studies aimed at finding out how animals protected noxious effects their own allomones.
