摘要: This paper explores the first maritime westward expansion of crops across Adriatic and northern coast western Mediterranean. Starting in Greece at c.6500 cal BC following coastline to Andalusian region Spain c.4500 BC, presence main cereal, pulse, oil fibre are recorded from 122 sites. Patterns distribution explored through ubiquity scores, correspondence analysis Simpson's diversity index. Our findings reveal changes frequencies as farming regimes developed Europe, show how different followed unique trajectories. Fluctuations crop spectrum between defined areas also evident, may serve illustrate founder effects can explain some patterns evident large-scale spatio-temporal evaluations. Within broader farming, regionalism multi-directional networks described archaeological materials visible botanical records.
