Human nonsense-mediated RNA decay regulates EMT by targeting the TGF-ß signaling pathway in lung adenocarcinoma.

摘要: Nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) is a highly conserved pathway that selectively degrades aberrant RNA transcripts. In this study, we proved NMD regulates the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of lung adenocarcinoma (ADC). Moreover, found core factor UP-frameshift 1 tends to be expressed at lower levels in human ADC tissues than normal tissues, thereby raising possibility may downregulated permit oncogenesis. Our experiments cell lines showed downregulating can promote EMT. EMT inhibited by upregulating NMD. We tested role TGF-s signaling and influences targeting pathway. findings reveal potential tumor regulatory mechanism therapeutic target for ADC.
