Colour-coded and pulsed Doppler sonography of the canine testis, epididymis and prostate gland: physiological and pathological findings.

摘要: Two-dimensional ultrasound was used in combination with colour-coded and pulsed Doppler sonography to study the blood flow of testes prostate gland a total 30 male dogs. After detection vessels by sonography, patterns were determined measuring describing systolic diastolic peak velocity (SPV, DPV), end-diastolic velocity, time-averaged maximum (TAMAX), pulsatility resistance index, as well ratios velocities. The testicular artery measured within pampiniform plexus marginal location. prostatic supply deferential duct (cranial), outside (lateral) (subcapsular). physiological pattern monophasic high flow. Testes neoplastic alterations showed significant increase SPV TAMAX. epididymal could not be detected. Under conditions biphasic cranial lateral location subcapsular Benign hyperplasia characterized SPV, DPV results present investigation demonstrate that give additional valuable information which improves andrological diagnostics dog.
