Preliminary results of MUNDO high altitude pressure measurements

摘要: Four high altitude pressure measurement canisters were deployed for the MUNDO event. All canister parachutes and placement of instruments was quite satisfactory in spite an unusual wind change. Fouled leak plugs caused two intermediate transducers to be driven out range but a new reasonably successful procedure developed recovering histories these from acceleration histories. The measurements bridged across central radiation cone transition region. Pressure levels at outer stations are atypical with unexpected appearances shock fronts. more complicated peak pressures lower than observed on RUMMY.
