The psychological mindedness scale : factor structure and relationship to outcome of psychotherapy.

摘要: Two studies are reported. The first examined the factor structure of Psychological Mindedness (PM) Scale, and second reassessed scale’s predictive validity. A principal components analysis (varimax rotation) data 256 psychiatric outpatients produced five factors that accounted for 38% variance. tentative definition PM based on these is proposed. For a subsample 116 patients who attended at least four psychotherapy sessions, was unrelated to levels functioning psychosocial symptoms admission positively associated with number sessions attended, consistent findings preliminary investigation. Not replicated were significant correlations between outcome measures derived from therapists’ an independent rater’s evaluations. Initially high significantly related patients’ self-ratings problems after discharge.
