Shift in the reasons why adults seek HIV testing in the United States: policy implications.

摘要: HIV testing is an important step in the continuum of care. It provides opportunity to counsel people who seek and links those test positive health services. To determine number adults had ever been tested for HIV, compare reasons they sought testing, evaluate policy implications their decision, data from 1998 2002 National Health Interview Surveys were analyzed. Of 31,138 interviewed 1998, 9728 (31.2%) reported whereas 10,760 (34.7%) 31,044 HIV. Persons similar with regard sociodemographic characteristics (age, gender, ethnicity, education, region origin).
