摘要: Gastrin gene expression is upregulated in a number of pre-malignant conditions and established cancer through variety mechanisms. Depending on the tissue where it expressed level expression, differential processing polypeptide product leads to production different biologically active peptides. In turn, acting classical CCK-2R receptor, isoforms alternative receptors, these peptides trigger signalling pathways which influence downstream genes that affect cell survival, angiogenesis invasion. Here we review this network events, highlighting importance cellular context for interpreting role gastrin possible supporting early stage carcinogenesis.
