摘要: The aim of the present study was to investigate ecological quality tropical estuaries on northeastern coast Brazil using AMBI. Macrofauna classification based groups reviewed Indicator Value (IndVal) coefficient. results indicate that ecosystems exhibit some level disturbance. Most sites are situated between slightly-moderately disturbed boundaries due higher proportion Nematoda (assigned here as Ecological Group I) and Oligochaeta Tubificidae (both classified V). AMBI proved efficient in evaluating environmental status, although applicability this index requires adjustments regarding species groups. also highlights merits IndVal method for examining assignments species/taxa an group demonstrates validity coefficient is assessment tool. Moreover, complementary use different methods recommended ecosystem quality.
