Longitudinally foretelling drug usage in adolescence: early childhood personality and environmental precursors.

摘要: Drug usage in early adolescence (age 14) was related to concurrent and preschool personality characteristics for a sample of 54 girls 51 boys. The concomitants antecedents drug use differed somewhat as function gender the used. At age 14, both sexes, marijuana ego undercontrol, while harder drugs reflected an absence ego-resiliency, with undercontrol also contributing factor. ages 3/4, subsequent adolescent lower ego-resiliency. In boys, strongly, during their nursery school years, resiliency having no long-term implications. Early family environment but not homes earlier identified unstructured laissez-faire, where there little pressure achieve. other substance and, IQ decline from 11 18. Implications these results contemporary views regarding are discussed.
