摘要: Borna disease virus (BDV) causes an infection of the central nervous system in a wide range vertebrates, which can fatally progress to immune-mediated disease, called disease. BDV is member Mononegavirales, also includes highly infectious measles and Ebola viruses. The viral nucleoproteins are transcription, replication, packaging RNA genome. We present X-ray structure nucleoprotein determined at 1.76 A resolution. reveals novel fold, organized into two distinct domains, assembly planar homotetramer. Surface potential calculations strongly support binding model with wrapping around outside tetramer, although positively charged channel tetramer could fit single-stranded alternative mode. This first provides paradigmatic for replication
