摘要: Substance abuse has become one of the most pressing public health problems our times. Its impact on US workforce is staggering, both in terms lost productivity and cost providing medical care to its victims. Employers usually have programs place reduce substance abuse, which include testing prospective and/or current employees' body fluids or tissues for recreational drugs. Although urine remains test choice among employers, use hair as a matrix increased substantially recent years. There been legal concern that there may be racial bias testing. In studies human populations, limited investigation this issue. This study investigates question by evaluating hair-test results large cohort applicants employment with major metropolitan police department. The failed show any thereby suggest hair-testing methodology would not create disparity applicants.
