摘要: New high‐resolution multichannel seismic data (GWADASEIS‐2009 and JC45/46‐2010 cruises; 72 60 channels, respectively) combined with previous (AGUADOMAR‐1999 CARAVAL‐ 2002; 6 24 allow a detailed investigation of mass‐wasting processes around the volcanic island Montserrat in Lesser Antilles. Seven submarine deposits have sources on flanks Montserrat, while three are related to nearby Kahouanne volcanoes. The most voluminous deposit (∼20 km 3) within Bouillante‐Montserrat half‐graben has not been described previously is probably flank instability Centre Hills Volcano other events younger South Soufriere Hills‐Soufriere complex. All located south or southeast an area delimited by faults half‐graben. They cover large part quarter surrounding seafloor (∼520 2), total volume ∼40 3. Our observations suggest that exerts control extent propagation deposits. We propose interpretation for similar what happened southern islands
